Originally from Wisconsin and now based in Oakland, California, R J Mischo is an innovative and versatile blues harmonica player (and singer/songwriter) who has been performing since the late 1970s and recording since 1988 - at first with Blues Deluxe and then the Red Hot Blues Band before debuting with Crosscut under his own name in 1995. On this strong new album he is joined by some equally hot players: Sid Morris (ex-John Lee Hooker & Charlie Musselwhite bands, piano), Frank Goldwasser & Chris 'Kid' Andersen (guitars), Marcus Carino (ex-Fabulous Thunderbirds, electric bass) and June Core (ex-Little Charlie & The Nightcats, drums).
